🇦🇺 Go-Jo pour l’Australie à l’Eurovision 2025 avec le titre “Milkshake Man”

Le diffuseur australien SBS a dévoilé son représentant pour l’Eurovision 2025 via une sélection interne pour la troisième année consécutive : il s’agit de Go-Jo, très populaire sur l’application TikTok, avec la chanson Milkshake Man.

Qui est Go-Jo ?

De son vrai nom Marty Zambotto, Go-Jo est un chanteur et compositeur australien. Il s’est fait connaître grâce à son style musical qui fusionne la pop, le RnB et des sonorités électroniques. Il a gagné en popularité sur les réseaux sociaux, notamment TikTok, où ses vidéos musicales ont rapidement attiré l’attention. Son morceau Mrs. Hollywood est devenu viral, ce qui lui a permis de toucher un public international.

Go-Jo est apprécié pour ses paroles authentiques, ses mélodies entraînantes et son talent à raconter des histoires à travers sa musique. Il collabore avec divers artistes et continue d’innover en explorant de nouvelles influences musicales.

Go-Jo se produira durant la première moitié de la deuxième demi-finale, le jeudi 15 mai prochain.

10^e participation du pays à l’Eurovision

L’Australie participe au Concours Eurovision de la chanson depuis 2015 grâce à une invitation de l’Union européenne de radio-télévision (UER), qui souhaitait remercier le diffuseur australien SBS pour sa diffusion de l’événement depuis 1983.

Le meilleur résultat du pays est survenu en 2016 avec la chanteuse Dami Im et son titre Sound of Silence. Elle s’est classée 2^e en finale, obtenant 511 points, à seulement 23 points de la victoire.

L’Australie a également connu deux éliminations en demi-finales : la première en 2021 avec Montaigne et la seconde en 2024 avec Electric Fields. Malgré ces contre-performances, le pays reste un participant apprécié pour sa créativité et ses performances de grande qualité.
